Bistro1909 is a family owned company which owns two restaurants in the old town of the city Alcudia in Mallorca, Spain. Bistro 1909 Alcudia and Bistro1909 Plaza are both open for lunch and dinner and has each a capacity of 30 covers on the street terrace and 25 inside. The menu is presenting local ingredients in a global setting. Several classics are side-by-side original Bistro1909 dishes. The kitchen and service team consists of eight persons. The restaurants are open from March through October. Bistro1909 has Scandinavian owners and the company language is English. Cook The cook is working directly under the chef. During the week the cook occasionally works alone and needs to take full operational responsibility. The cook needs to assist the chef regarding purchasing procedures and in all operational work. We believe that you have education and/or relevant experience from a la carte cooking. You need to speak good English. You must have a strong interest in your job. You are a person who looks for interesting experiences and you can function well in a foreign environment as well as in a highly stressful situation. You are a problem solver and you are capable of being flexible. You are also very social and enjoy to work close to other people. You are physically fit to handle sometimes hard work in a hot climate. More than anything you are truly interested to learn new things and has a passion for good food. The contract for this employment starts 20 March and finishes for the season 31 October. The salary is according to agreement. The company will provide Social Security and insurance according to Spanish law. If you are in need of housing we will assist you in finding an accommodation.
