Our client is the leading integrated copper group and the world’s largest copper recycler. They produce some 1 million ton of copper cathodes each year and from them a variety of copper products. The international group has about 6,300 employees with production sites in Europe and the USA and an extensive service and sales system for copper products in Europe, Asia and North America.

One of the Group’s plants is situated in Olen, Belgium. The Belgium Plant specializes in the production of copper anodes, cathodes, Rod, Foxrod and Bars & Profiles. The Belgium Plant has over 500 employees. You will work internationally with the office in Brussels and the Plant in Olen.

On behave of our client, Step & Find is looking for an

The job:

• You negotiate and conclude Sales contracts for ROD and Specialty Wire with customers mainly located in Benelux, France, Spain and North-Africa
• You supervise the contract administration team in charge of the above markets (instruction to the plant - shipments - …)
• You participate in the global marketing and sales policy of the BL Rod
• You maintain a perfect knowledge of the Copper Market evolution and keep your customers perfectly informed by regular written Market Reviews
• You develop sufficient knowledge about the product process and applications to support customers and solve their problems.

Your Profile:

• You successfully completed a master degree in business administration or engineering or equivalent business apprenticeship
• You effectively have 2-3 years of experience as an account manager, key account manager or international account manager in the B2B market. Experience within the metal and especially the copper sector is a huge plus
• You love to, internationally, travel for your job (40% of the time) on a regular basis
• You are customer oriented and you aim for the best partnership with the clients
• You are result-driven and want to win new customers, to keep the current customers and to let them grow
• It is your objective to make sure that your client is served from A till Z
• You are flexible and able to work independently
• You have excellent negotiation and communication skills
• You find it challenging to look for creative customer-oriented solutions
• You speak and write fluently English and French. Knowledge of Italian, Dutch and/or German is an asset. You have to be able to speak (limited) Dutch at the Olen Plant
• You hold strong PC skills: especially MS Office, knowledge of SAP is desirable
